I help students improve their comprehension and writing skills by working through the style of paper they will sit at their target schools, helping them become familiar with the format.

GCSE
We focus on improving exam technique, structuring responses, and meeting all the criteria for top marks. Additionally, I assist students in analysing and interpreting text and verse to understand the meaning better.
I teach AQA and Edexcel
A-Level
We focus on advanced essay structure, such as thesis statements, integrated context, and critical analysis. I also provide additional support to students who need to gain a greater understanding of the text.

About Me
My name is Laura. I have a 2:1 Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Warwick and over five years of experience as a private tutor.
I've received over 250 five-star reviews and have an exemplary track record of helping students surpass their expectations. I've recently published my first revision guide focused on Macbeth quotes, and I'm passionate about making learning engaging and exciting for all of my students.
During my sessions, I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment that allows your child to focus and learn effectively. I'll work closely with them to tailor the sessions to their individual needs, whether that's content or exam technique. I believe in keeping the sessions relatively informal and encourage open discussion, which I find far more beneficial than the rigid structure of school-taught lessons.
My goal is to give your child the tools and confidence they need to create their own ideas and excel in their studies. I'm dedicated to helping your child reach their full potential and achieve the grades they need to pursue their dreams.
